Hotel Fort William
Bed and Breakfast Guest House Lodge

Glen Loy Lodge is a small, privately owned Fort William hotel, located by the banks of the beautiful River Loy in a secluded glen close to the Caledonian Canal and Great Glen Way.
From the hotel we have spectacular views of the north face of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor.

The lodge is set in one acre of wooded grounds with a sheltered and sunny courtyard. There are lovely established rhododendrons which flower throughout spring and early summer. The surrounding forest is home to pine martens which you may be lucky to catch a glimpse of them. This area is also noted for the rare Chequered Skipper butterflies and annual visits by a flock of Scottish Crossbills.

The Lodge is both a peaceful retreat and conveniently based for guests to access the amenities of Fort William. It is an excellent base for touring the North West Highlands directly from Fort William. Glen Loy is a good centre for walking and climbing, with many forest trails and Munros' locally. Pony trekking, cycling, skiing, white water canoeing and fishing are also popular in the area. We are happy to assist guests in making arrangements for sporting activities where possible.

Glen Loy Lodge was built as a hunting and fishing lodge in the late 1920s and its construction reflects both the Art Deco period and the Modern Movement in architecture.
Antique furnishings and details used throughout the hotel help to recreate the elegance and style prevalent in the early part of the twentieth century.
